Header install -
I have a 2002 SCSB and I'm trying to install headers and I can't get them in. Driver's side I can't get in from top or bottom (remote jump electrical is moved out of the way). Do I have to pull the brake booster to get them in??
Passenger side I got in from the bottom but they are bound between the frame rail and block. I read something about a bad motor mount could cause this, so I put a jack under the motor and jacked it up, but it still won't fit.
This can't be that hard. What am I doing wrong?

mark the steering column before you loosen it. also if you have the cross brace bars going from the frame to the cross member it helps to loosen these up and spin them out of the way.

I take the steering bolt out and separate the two pieces (after I have marked them) and then take out the cross braces. I like the room it gives me plus I can hang the header on a something to keep it up while I crawl out from under the truck and go back to the engine bay and grab it and get a bolt started. Then I can fish in a gasket and bam!
