Default Header/manifold bolts

Hey guys, my 2001 Silverado is about to get a set of Cal-speed lt's installed when they get here. I've had a lot of people tell me that the stock exhaust bolts are probably going to break taking them off. Anybody know a technique to prevent this? I plan on soaking them with PB Blaster over night at least.

Soak the bolts in some PB blaster the day before and when you start to take them out. Take it slow and try not to force it too much. I would recommend getting some new bolts or better yet some studs. I used these

I started soaking my bolts the day I ordered my lt's. Not the first problem. Like said just go slow. Also I reused my bolts and gaskets, haven't had a problem yet.

There are gm stud/bolt part numbers too. They come in different quantities than a full 12 kit.

when I did my motor swap 1 header bolt broke and 2 more were already broken. The lq4 had 2 bolts broke 1 i heated up with a mapp gas torch and was able to grab with some pliars the other i had to drill out. I would be scared to do a header swap on a high mileage truck. I swapped to all grade 8 bolts and plenty of antisieze

Like said, soak them with some good penetrating oil. Next that has worked for me in the past, is to let the truck run a few min's prior to trying to take them out.
