Default Header wrap

How many here have used header wrap over coatings? They say it will make the metal brittle over time.

WHAT say you?

If you live in the rust belt then that stuff will rot a set of headers in a year.

They hold water in against the header. Not a good thing.

You read the coating sites and wrap is junk, read the wrap sites and there product does a better job. They overcome all the objections on both kinds of sites.I dont live in a rust area.I am temped to go wrap after a lot of reading.

Just another tidbit...a lot of header manufacturers will void your warranty if you use header wrap. Might want to look into that before you spend your money.

If the warranty isn't an issue, you might want to do some research and try to find some proof of notable gains using the wrap (good luck).

If you think the claimed (key word 'claimed') gains are worth the money, you have to decide if the chance of them rusting is worth it.

If you plan to keep the truck for a while, I would send the headers to Jet-Hot. You won't have to mess with them again after they are installed.
