Yea header bolts are not fun. When you put the new bolts in make sure to use anti-seize on them since you are putting dissimilar metals together.

That's the problem... I've been absolutely soaking them for 2 and a half weeks now. I ended up stripping one and i have no idea how to get it out.

So the bolt that stripped was caused from being impossible to remove because the header flange was broken in the middle causing it to sag and all the weight being put in this one bolt. I guess I'm just going to put a jack under the header and lift it up a bit to get some pressure off this bolt? Im not sure what else to do. How would that even happen?

Put all the other bolts back in and snug them up, that will remove a lot of tension off the head of the bolt.

Last ditch effort, grind the head off, the shaft should unscrew easily after the header is removed.

The passenger side stock header flange is suppose to be cut in the middle.

Is it? Because it seems like there a ton of pressure on the two bolts surrounding

Maybe you are just fighting the lock tight.

I was able to remove all the bolts just fine when I repalce them we new ones on my old 06 sierra. 3 were broken but nothing some heat and vise grips couldnt get out.

All I know is I broke a nice pair of vice grips from turning too hard.
