Default Headers?

I have a buddy that purchased a set of longtubes that were made for 1995 c/k 4wd chevy truck with a 5.7 in it. His truck is actually a 1998 4wd with the 5.7 vortec in it.. Will they work and what are the differences, because the part number only lists them up to the 1995 truck? Thanks again guys he just needs to make sure they will work.

I'm not sure. The heads are different i think. Look at a different type header for both year models and see if the part number is the same.

The 95 headers will not have a vortec style EGR port. Otherwise they should bolt up fine.

^^^, does your buddy's '98 have a tune or aftermarket intake? Regardless, he has 2 options.

1. tune out EGR & plug the intake port
2. weld on an EGR port so he can make it plug & play
