headers, which one's???

Default headers, which one's???

Im lookin to buy some headers which brand should i go with on a 4.8. I was thinkin hookers or pacesetters, any suggestions?

Definently go with the pacesetters!!!!!

Cheapest... and VERY high quality!!

Depends on if you want flange or flangeless headers. Really just depends on how much you wanna pay . Pacesetters are hard to beat, however if your in the market for a flanged header I say go for StainlessWorks, AS&M'S or Dynatech...

I got the pacesetters and then welded flanges on them. Getting the Y off is a bitch.

What he said. I don't weld so I had a shop fab a y with stock cats and flanges. Nice.

I dont always weld, sometimes I just stick metal together. Other times I weld. Cant figure it out.

or how much distance is there between the collector
and the trans crossmember?

looks kinda close from the pics Ive seen

no pics, i'll try and get some tomorrow. but my exhaust guy said this was a pain cause the converters on my year don't fit in front of the tranny crossmember. they had to wrap the pipe over the crossmember and put the converters further downstream.

That said, they were worried the I would get codes from the converters not getting hot enough. no problems though and it sounds great
