Default Headers: which should I get?

After combing through this board I have narrowed down my choices to three:
1. ASM
2. The Other Guys
3. Thorley
I see the power gains these companies claim, but do any of you have any experience or data to help me make my decision?

I have a '00 Tahoe, 5.3, Whipple - 6lbs boost, Flowmaster. No other mods or bolt ons.

ASM or The Other Guys headers would be a good choice, they both make good products. I decided to go with ASM because they were cheaper & came standard with ceramic coating. The only bad thing I can say about the ASM's is that the ceramic coating could have been a little better.

PS. An installation note: my brother's auto shop installed mine without taking the charger off the passengers side by taking off the plastic inner fender & installing the header through the wheel well.

The TOG headers come with a lifetime warranty, even if you have a blower installed, which voids most other warranties.

That was my main reason in getting them. I haven't installed them yet, so I can't help ya out anymore than that.

Do you have to modify the exhaust flange where it meets up with the headers for the other guys headers? <img border="0" alt="[USA]" title="" src="graemlins/patriot.gif" />

The headers listed above aren't shorties. They are long and mid style headers which require you to cut down the exhaust and have new flanges welded in.

Thanks for the help. Once I saw a set of TOG my decision was made. It was tough to pay the additional $$ to have them coated but I know I bought the best set of headers for my truck.

Soon it will all be together: LS1 5.7, TOG headers, B&B catback. Then, with new injectors, maybe the whipple will go back on.
