Default which heads

i have q 5.3L with ARH long tubes, high flow cats, flowmaster 40 series, CAI, TBSS intake, 90mm throttle body, Wheatley 91 octane tune, e fans, 4:10 gears and a tru trac rear diff and im looking to upgrade my heads and cam next. im thinking about getting a TR220 cam but i have come across my buddies 06 gto 243 heads. hes asking 250 assembled and they only have 60K on them. or should i go with texas speed stage 2.5 heads for the 5.3L?

are they stock 243s with stock springs?

If they are stocks, the right thing to do is swap to duals.

And if your using the stock intake, is that going to fit?

For 250 I would buy them either way if u use them great if u don't then sell them and put the money towards aftermarket heads, but for 250 u won't find them cheaper and u could definitely get more than 250 to resell them. Hell Im sure there people on hear that would jump on them in a heart beat for 250.

Stock 243 on a 5.3 with dished pistons is a step in wrong direction unless you are going FI

which heads do you recommend? i dont quite have the money for FI but i was looking at some used maggies and looking at STS turbo kits.

If u don't used the heads then do the performance truck members who do so much for everyone a favor and put the heads on here and let someone else have a grab at them.

The CNC heads from Scoggins Dickey are pretty nice, but what are your current mods? Maybe you don't even need them.

i posted my mods in the original post. if i dont need/use the heads ill put them up on here for what i pay for them. just checking to see if im wasting money or spending it wisely. i almost bought an lsxrt intake until i learned that a tbss intake is way cheaper and will work quite well at my performance level. saved me alot of money.
