Default Heads?

im gunna buy some new heads soon for my truck i have a fully bolted 5.3 with a tr 220 cam on a 114 lsa. im looking at these heads jw what the pros and cons were of each....

Trick Flow are awesome heads, the downside is expense and the fact you are supposed to use roller rockers. Patriot heads don't flow as well as some of the other competitors. PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads are good budget priced heads.

the trick flow's that i was looking at are a assembled head for about 1,000 bucks? then id have to get a roller rocker set? also what CC should i be looking for? im gunna keep the truck NA for a while but may got SC in a year or so... maybe.

Yep, the Trick Flow is a grand each or $2000 total. Like Terravast said, the PRC is probably the best bang for the buck. Stock 5.3 heads are 61cc chambers, going with 59cc heads would give you about a 1/4 point higher compression ratio, which would be nice if you stay N/A. But, if you go FI, you might want to go the other way and get 63cc heads.

SDPC has some well priced heads as well with good flow numbers. does anyone know anything about worlds heads? they have decent flow numbers and the make great heads for older engines but i haven't found anything on their ls heads

Talk to the guys at WCCH. I'm sure they can point you in the right direction and recommend a head to fit your needs.

well since there 1000 " each" i dont think ill be getting the trick flows haha i guess its prc 2.5 for me. im jw what kinda gains ill see out of them?
