Default Heads, cam, intake and rockers going on the HD!

I've canceled the Whipple supercharger and will be going with this package instead. It consists of -

Aluminum heads - compression goes to 10:1 and there is a 100lb savings over stock!
Cometic stainless steel head gaskets
ARP head bolts
1.8 rockers
New intake manifold - this is purty!
Camshaft designed for outstanding low to mid range power (not named yet)

This upgrade should be worth close to 130 horsepower and I expect to see everything in about 2-3 weeks.

2002 8.1 Silverado HD - Full Throttle lift, 37" tires, 4.56 gears, Comp Cam, TOG headers, Volant induction plus more! Heads, cam and intake manifold upgrade coming soon!
2002 8.1 Suburban -Intercooled Whipple supercharger, 22" wheels/tires + more - 407hp/558 ft-lb torque at the rear wheels - 13.93 @ 95.79 MPH

Tom, that's a trick looking intake! Don't suppose you have one of those for a 6.0?

It is currently only available for the 8.1. It might look to good to put on the truck!

I thought about that tonight. I'm 5'11 and can't see into the engine compartment without climbing onto a tire or bumper. That's way I leave the hood closed at shows.

A few other parts to add to the list -

A billet aluminum throttlebody that will flow about 1200 cfm and a set of 1 7/8" long tube headers. This will be a fun ride after it comes together!

Well, as with all new parts they are never released when their supposed to. I should have the aluminum heads by the end of next week and I'm waiting to hear about the cam and 1.8 rockers. The intake isn't realy to go yet so I might scratch that along with the billet throttlebody for now. I'm also waiting on the long tubes. They are supposed to be here "soon".

Tom keep-on with the up dates I sent my order off to Ray on Friday. You should have your's done way before I will. I'm building a new engine for my truck. To bad it's not your burb I'd like to see what an 8.1 would do with H,C,I and a Whipple would do. I think that would be sweet!!

I want to know how that works out for you. I will be waiting to read about it. Do you think it'll be better than the Whipple? And 'SuperSporttruck' you mentioned putting a turbo on your 8.1, do you know of anyone that makes a kit to do that? I'm looking for more power!
