I pulled my factory gasket gunk with a hard plastick ice chipper…that got the big stuff off….then I got the next layer off with a razor blade, then hit it with carb clean and skotch brite. There was no residue from the scotch brite that I couldn’t just wipe up with a wrag. You could almost see your reflection on my deck in about 30 minutes a piece.

Ive used those plastic things that you put on a compressor but it was really messy to me. They did work well though.

I plan on having everything back together sometime Friday night, I am trying to only work a half day on friday. Tuning begins on Saturday... I hope to redyno next week and make it out to the track on Wednesday!

Uhhmm do you have your cam yet Corey or did I miss something? Are you going to just see what a heads only is going to do before installing the cam?

Looks great. You're pushing the 4.8 in ways I never thought possible. Back when I did the 6.0 swap the 4.8 was considered a boat anchor but this is going to be a very interesting build.
