Very nice BTW, no-one and i mean no-one will think that is "just" a lil 4.8. But yeah, get it tuned, the only issue I have with mine is just a like any cam, you have to let it warm up a bit and if you don't get to operating temp, it will surge on you a bit. Not bad, but hey, its the life you choose when you get a cam with that tight LSA

Man, that thing sounds mean, looking forward to the speedo vid.
They're out of business, but this info is still up on Crane's website on how to degree a cam: http://cranecams.com/?show=article&id=3
Here's one from Car Craft: http://www.carcraft.com/howto/116_07...aft/index.html
I've never degree'd a cam on an engine with the heads on, I don't even see how it's possible as you need to get the #1 piston up to real TDC and this is accomplished with a dial indicator on the #1 piston Actually I've never degree'd a cam on an engine that wasn't on a stand, (seems like a PITA to do with the engine in the vehicle but I'm sure it can be done) and I've never done a GENIII engine yet. I have degree'd numerous small and big block Chevy's many years ago at my father's shop though.
I think that if you planned to degree your cam that time has passed lol, unless you plan to pull it apart again (heh, you seem to be fast enough at it )
*EDIT* scratch that, completely forgot about the piston stop method as I've never done it that way...duh!

Yep it is a 4.8 unfortunately
I will say this, the new heads made my verter alot looser, which is good and bad... I liked the way my verter was before not tooo loose not tooo tight, now it is a tad tooo loose.. It poped the PO757 code yesterday, which sucks, i need to tune it out, but i have been lazy... My 60fts better be in the 1.8 range now
