sorry about the threads.

i have not ported anything yet. I plan on buying an extra set of heads LQ's if possible
and having them cnc ported by a local shop. and changing springs to not worry about it anymore.
so about 11 to 1 should be a safe limit?
i do not plan on installing heads until I have a custom tune for the heads.
will my rpm's be affected? like redline being lower?

I dont believe its possible to get 11to1 on a set of 317's or 243's, especially if they are ported.
I would look for some 5.3 heads and have those milled and ported to give you better flow and higher compression

in camshafts whats the difference from 112 lsa to 116 lsa
other than idle.

so which is better for n/a higher or lower lsa?
does it move powerband up or down?

typically a narrower lsa will be more "peaky", and a wider will be more broad
