installed camshaft ,fired it up today :no oil pressure ,any intelligent ideas {no Punt intended} on why i dont have any oil pressure i put in a new oil pump when we changed the cam logically of course, but when i fired ir up nothing but clatter and 3 # oil pressure .im thinking it might be the o ring on the pickup tube .thats the only thing i can think of could it be electrical?

yup it's the oil pump oring. Did you get a blue one or a red one? You should have gotten the red one and if you did, you probably didn't install it right. Don't worry, it happens a lot, but it's a pain to get back in there.
