I need to know how to tell a 4.8 from a 5.3 since the casting numbers are the same

vin number, if the 8th character has a V its a 4.8, if its a T its a 5.3.

I bought the engine from salvage, I don't have the vin from the truck. I think I have the vin code from the engine C2J163967
