Default Help!!!!!!!

Is any one else having any kind of detonation with their SC? As I stated in my other post Kenne Bell has retuned the PCM and it didn't help much their solution was to run the NoS octaine boost which evaporated in about 15 minutes in this Texas heat. So please Any help is appreciated. Oh yeah I don't have a vacuum leak that was the first thing I checked.

You need to get a scanner hooked up to that thing to see what the real problem is. It could be alot of things causing your detonation.

Log timing all through the rpm range, log knock retard, log your 02 voltages, log intake air temps. It'd be really nice to get it on a wideband too.

I think it could. Too much leftover hot exhaust gas in the combustion chamber could cause detonation. What's your exhaust setup?

Maybe you've covered this somewhere, but how much boost are you running? Does the Kenne Bell have an intercooler. In hot weather, you might have problems running more than 6psi with a twin screw non intercooled.

Parish had a Whipple on his old truck, and I think he had detonation above 6psi in the summer. I'm not sure on that though. hopefully he'll chime in on this one.

Iat's on a non intercooled setup are HUGE, especially in summer. That may be your problem. You may want to look into an alky injection setup.
