Default Help choosing a cam for my combo....

Ok guys i need a cam that will help me get into the low 13s high 12s.....For now i have some 243's milled .030,nnbs inatke,nnbs port & polished tb,pt4400 stall,4.10s.pacesetter lt's,4" cold air intake.....All this will be going on a 2010 4.8

How fast is it going now? Should be close no?

I would get a custom grind for your needs.

Really slow lol 14.7@97 but i only have a 228/228,4.10s,longtubes,4" cold air,tuned by nelson but what i mentioned was for the motor swap i'm gnna do on my truck....Who can spec me a custom grind?

Thats pretty damn slow for gears, cam and stall. Id expect high 13s or very low 14s maximum.

Think im confused. Lol

Sorry if i confused you lol current setup is on my sig...What i posted 243s,nnbs,etc is what is what i have already including the 2010 4.8 to do the motor swap from my current 2003 4.8 to the 2010 4.8

Wait wait wait, so you're swapping from one 4.8 to another 4.8? Why?

Why not swap those parts onto your current 4.8? Why not go with more cubes if you're going through the trouble?

He is swapping to a gen IV motor which has advantages.

To the OP I wouldn't go big in a 4.8 even with a 4400 and 4.10s in a RCSB. I feel like the motor just can't swallow the duration. Honestly a split duration low LSA with healthy lift will net the biggest gains. Maybe something like a 228/232 .60x/.60x LSA111 would work well. Everything about this motor wants hi rpms, but I think you need more compression.
