The differences I can really think of would be the rods being beefier, the 58x reluctor wheel, larger throttle body, better intake manifold, and better heads. Without going inside the motor for the rods, everything else can swap over, and the 58x isn't a noteworthy upgrade.
Unless the old 4.8 is blown up, which it sounds like it isn't or has really high miles and the 2010 is a low mileage unit.
Otherwise, I agree with gamble, although you'll have a healthy stall and gears, I would keep it 228 duration or less.
