Default HELP with Edelbrock Header Info

I purchased Edelbrock Shorty headers and come to find out they are the wrong ones.

I have a 2001 2WD ExtCab Silverado.....

The models on the Edelbrock Website for my truck are as follows:

1. #65002 Without A.I.R., With E.G.R
2. #65012 With A.I.R.
3. #65022 Without A.I.R. & E.G.R.

The model I received was 65002, and I they are wrong because I believe my truck has A.I.R.

My father in law is saying after taking a second look that he believes that my truck has both A.I.R. & E.G.R.

This leads me to believe that model #65012 would have it but I am not sure.

Can someone please help me?

Yeah I am in Cali. We determined that it has air. It comes out the top of the manifolds on each side.

But what about the EGR? It looks like on the passenger side, near the bottom there is another connection with a thick hose. Is that EGR?

I had the same problem when i ordered my shorty headers. I ordered the edelbrock and they sent me pacesetters, i would'nt have complained but the headers i recieved had the egr tube and no block off plate. I called them and they sent me the block off plate, but it was to small, I was pissed so i just welded the ****** on there.

So then I need both A.I.R. & EGR??

They dont have a model with both. I am thinking that it is probably part 65012...

No customer service until Monday and I was wanting to mail them back tomorrow....

Why are you buying shorties? They give you no gains that you will even notice. Maybe 5hp. The stock maifolds actually flow quite well.
I would look at buying some smog legal longtube headers.
Especially since they already sent you the wrong ones.

I just bought a set of Doug's Headers (NOT DOUG THORLEYS) part # D3353-1 .I bought them from Summit Racing. You might want to check'em out. They are a mid length header and they do have AIR and EGR. They are smog legal with a CARB number. I searched for 2 weeks trying to find a header other than a shortie. I called all the major companies for info but came up empty. Shorties don't give much HP and these headers are far more better quality than the Edelbrock stuff.
