The best thing to do is find a local shop who can dyno tune it for you and tell them how you want it to drive, before you dyno it I would put an intake and exhaust on it then go. They will be able to customize the tune to your likings and its alot better than mailorder and costs the same.
then if you still want more do shift kit and stall, then headers, then heads and cam or FI N20

My 05 Runs Pretty Good
I would not call it gutless. I think it runs better then my 03 in the same OE trim. Even with the 3.42's Vs. the 3.73's of the 03. I would think the 4.10's would show some pretty good low end.
I have to travel several long steep un-paved hills in the mountains a few times a month and have noticed no reduction in lowend, on mine anyway.
I spoke with a tuner and was informed of the vast amount of timing pulled compared to other year models but he has yet to do an L33 in a truck. He did not mention when or under what conditions the timing was pulled so much.

Yeah, but I always thought chuckin U-joints and rear ends was kinda cool!!!
I'd bet if I could just get the thing to shift consistantly I'd be alot happier. On the highway I dont have any big complaints, its the stoplight to stoplight / traffic that gets me.
