Default Help, I locked up my engine today!! Pic Added.

6.0 with cam and 5# Radix. I was driving in bumper to bumper traffic on lunch break, and hadn't even hit any boost all day, and suddenly when I was going about 10mph, something started ticking under my feet. I thought it I blew a header gasket again. About 10 seconds later, it sounded like something dropped (into the oil pan possibly??) and started rattling pretty loud for about 3 seconds, and the engine just locked up. I rolled off onto the shoulder and found out that the engine wouldn't budge when I engaged the starter. All of these sounds came from under the floorboard. Does anyone know what I broke? Thanks for looking.

No holes in the block. No fluid leaked out. But I haven't taken anything apart yet. The dip stick didn't have any shavings on it.

Stock tranny with a 5 year old Yank 3000. If the converter just seized, I will be very happy as long as the tranny is ok. This is actually one thing I considered as I pondered the situation. Do converters seize very often?

I also considered maybe one of the 918 springs broke and dropped a valve jamming the piston. But I wasn't hotrodding when it happened, I was cruising at 1500RPMs. What are some common failures on these engines I should check for?

Remove all your spark plugs and look for one that has been chewed on. If all your spark plugs look alright I highly doubt you hurt the motor!

Do you think the TC is likely? Is it common?

I dont believe that it is likely.

Just have to narrow down what exactly happened. First start with the motor since that would be the easiest to diagnose.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. The spark plug check is a great idea. I'll be sure to do that.

No I didn't think to look at the oil pressure gauge when this was happening. I'll also try to turn the crank pulley backwards to see if something is jamming the piston. I won't get to do any of this until Sunday, though, so place your bets at what it is.
