i dont think those cats are high-flows. on my old truck i had high flow magnaflow cats. they were stainless steel, so if you had them they'd probably be a little shinnier than what they are now. like someone said, they might just be universal cats that the muffler shop carried. i'd get rid of them and get some nice high flow cats or just get rid of the cats all together when you do the LTs.

I agree with most of the above observations...the cats look different than the ones that originally came on my truck (factory ones were rounder and maybe longer), and the x-pipe looks just like the Magnaflow one I purchased a while back that's now on the shelf waiting for installation.

just think POWER LOSS NOISE/RESONANCE INSIDE CAB IF YOU NEED TO HAVE THE CATS FOR EMISSIONS JUST DELETE THE 02S WITH SOME TUNING AND GUT THE CATS USE THEM AS DUMMIES ONLY/////////IS THAT ALL YOU NEED OVERTHERE FOR EMISSIONS JUST GO WITH BORLA EDELBROCK OR MAGNAFLOW EXHAUST THATS MY OWN OPINION YOU WILL SEE THE DIFFRENCE IN PERFORMANCE AND NOISE REDUCTION

jrs04silver,
If he has emissions and guts his cats, he wont pass the sniffer test. He needs cats to pass emissions.
Resonance in the cab from HF cats???
You get the resonance from the mufflers or muffler location, not from the cats.
I am also pretty sure you wont lose power by adding HF cats, I have read that there has been some gains in HP with the addition of HF cats, thats when replacing them from stock.
