Help with lifter tick on fresh rebuild?
So yesterday I fired up my fresh LQ4 build. After about 30 seconds I hear what sounds like a lifter ticking.
Using a hose to try to locate it, I’m pretty sure it’s #7. Is there anything obvious I should look for?
It has a 216/220 600/600 cam with 7.4 pushrods.

I upgraded the trunnions, so no needle bearings to scatter. I read on another forum that if you have a pickup tube o-ring issue it could cause #7 to tick. Sound like something to check out? It seems a little weird to me that it’s quiet for the first 30 seconds before it starts to tick.
