Help me:Heater Hose Hell!!
So while I was putting in my new conveter this weekend, I was accessing the top engine bolt via the engine compartment where the heater hoses go into the firewall. I must have bumped the little fitting while doing this, because when I fired it up and let it run and warm up, it started a little leak (drip, drip, drip). I tried to fix it with epoxy, it stopped the leak. Then I went for a test drive. I noticed it was leaking a lot now. I popped the hood, and the whole fitting (where the hose slips on) broke off. Does anyone know if I can get a new fitting? Does this damned thing come off? I don't know what to do, please tell me I don't need a new heater core! My Chilton's manual was no help.

I'm not sure if there's a valve, I know there isn't one on the firewall side. I tried getting the stupid plastic fitting off, and all it seems to do is just spin! I don't wan't to pull on it, but it appears that there is metal underneath it. I wonder if I could get the plastic off and just clamp a hose to the metal/core/ Or do they make a replacement fitting? Any ideas?
