Default Help me with the right build. 5.3 vs 6.2 etc

im a new member who has been browsing. I just sold my 2011 F150 ecoboost that I built into a long travel pre runner truck.

I'm looking at 2013 crew cab 2wd silverados. Il be building another long travel pre runner. The truck will be on 37" tires and have several hundred pounds of cage work in the bed.

Short term I'd like to achieve 425-450 whp. In a few months il be buying a turbo or supercharger. Not sure which. I have a tvs2300 on my 2010 camaro and it seems to be great for tq.

So my questions are.

5.3 or 6.2? The cost difference isn't much

At what point do I need my transmission built and at what's are the average cost?

Any suggestions on an aggressive cam I could use with turbo or supercharger in the future?

Any odds and ends I should look into before I get started? New intake manifold, pace setter headers still good for the money?

Get the 6.2 n dont look back. Wish we did. Some guys here r running over 650 hp through stock 6l80s. A supercharger alone should get u where u wanna be with the 6.2. Someone else will chime in n help u better.

Any suggestions on what blower?

I'm going to do long tubes. The blower and a cam. Is 600-650 at the tire doable?

Big procharger is what blower I would get. But turbo would be better.

Im ordering the Mazzulla race kit for the front and rear. Should be really nice.

Any cam and exhaust suggestions? Being the style truck it is i really need this thing to sound really nasty. I have a 2010 camaro that is cammed with a tvs2300 and you cant miss it. The sound draws in people every time we stop.

with a d1 procharger on 10lbs with full exhaust and a cam. is that mid 500s? id guess il leave a lot on the table with my 37" tires. 600whp is my goal on the stock bottom end. is it going to be possible? Do i need a new intake like an ls3?

6.2 like all others said.

Throw some boost at it and you will be well over your HP numbers and the stock 6L80E can handle quite a bit of power in it's stock form with a good tune
