Default help picking a different cam.

i have a 2000 scsb with a lq4 the motor has 5xxx miles sence the build. it has flat top pistons, stock bottom end, 243 heads, roller rocker arms, 918 springs, 3600 yank, lts, ory, 3.73 gears cai. this is some of the mods the cam that i have is 218, 222, .544, .544, 113lsa, i want something bigger that will make the truck pull harder. dose any have any suggestions.

TR 224 would be real good with your 3600 stall or a tr220 if you want something smaller....

my buddy had a tr224 in his 5.3 and that was a sick setup...seeing you got a 6.0, maybe even a tsp228.

the trucks not my daily driver so a big cam is not a problem.

TSP torquer cam would pull hard.

anyone else got cams they like that they think would work well in my set up. thanks for all the ideas so far.

Check out comp LSR 277 and 281. You have the stall and heads to go reasonably big.

I've got a Guerra Motorsports spec'd cam, 224/228 .609"/.588" 110LSA + 2 advanced. It worked great with my N/A LS6, 243 and 3800 stall set up. It pulled hard down low to get my 4800lb turd out of the hole. I think a few other guy's on pt.net are running a similiar cam with good results.

will i have to worry about piston clearing the valves with either of the cams that bad boyz racing or sizzle chest have recommended? and sizzle chest i was at san antonio raceway one night and saw you running. nice job getting that 2500 to do what it dose i was impressed.
