Help!!!Whipple Supercharger with KB electronics???, Can I use the piggyback??
I just picked up a Whipple blower on e-bay for my 2005 Yukon Denali, but it did not come with electronics. Can I use KB's newly released piggy back replacement? Or should I go with a Wester's tune of the stock ECU? and just add larger injectors?
What can I expect in terms of power increase? Can I expect 450 hp? I am supposed to have 335 stock... (The Yukon has the 6.0L Vortec engine)
I used to drive a F-150 Harley truck with a Intercooled Eaton M112, which I changed pulleys to provide roughly 10PSI (always Sunoco94 octane, and Michigan wheather), without any tendency for detonation, or pinging. However, I was lacking a little bit top end on the Roots blower, which I hope the screw will give. Hence my decision not to go with a Magnusson/Radix or similar. What is a safe boost range with the 6.0L on the Whipple, without Intercooler? No racing, just "normal" driving. I think the Whipple is sittinga t 6-7 PSI stock boost. Can I go up to 8-9 or is that pushing it too far without an intercooler?
Thanks in advance,
Anders
PS I will install myself, but if I change my mind, anyone know any good installers in Michigan?

The KB piggyback electronics is a glorified word for a tune. Make sure that you install the 42lb injectors and get a csutom tune. On a 6.0L you should be able to put down 400Rwhp easy. 6lbs is safe w/o intercooler.
