Default High flow cats

Just installed some high flow cats from catco today and lost some low end torque, and din't notice any on mid to top end. Has anybody else had this problem and do you have solution? I thought that high flows or gutting cats gives you more HP!! What happened?

What other mods do you have? If you just have basic bolt ons, you might not feel any performance gain...maybe with a cam and some worked heads, the combo would work better. Very interesting how high flow cats would have that kind of effect though...I could see how gutting cats on a basically stock vehicle would act that way, but would think that the high flows would still work out OK

Maybe a little tuning is in order...

Funny guys. Some of us still live in strick areas. I was told to get about 5 to 7 hp out of the high flows. But the motor may not be pushing enough HP to heat them up good enough. I've just got the basic bolt ons, and really no work done internally. I'm going back to my tuner next week to have him squeeze some extra ponies out of it.
