I never said that small displacement, high revving motors, arent good, they just arent in a heavy car

going to start a new post on a 6.0 vs bigger stroker.

Re: High Reving
you are right about the z28 and its 302. Either way I wasnt trying to take sides as to a small block high reving engine's superiority.
All I am doing is pointing out the high reving capabilities of a Chevy engine.
Such an engine may not be so hot for a drag race car but rather for a track car.

Re: High Reving
finnaly someone sees the thing i've been saying about the 4.8s forever. everyone just says torque this, torque that, it doesnt have as much torque as 5.3/6.0 all this **** im tired of hearing about... well how about we boost up the rev limiter on the 4.8 with a high stall and cam and then lets see what happens! goldenvelvet has a very interesting concept that should be looked into.
and oh btw, just a quick note about the honda thing also:
an integra LS has more torque than the integra GSR and it beats it off the line as a result. but the GSR wins in a race because of high reving horsepower. hmmmmmmmmm interesting

If so then you are comparing a built up motor to a more stock motor, that is totally different

Re: High Reving
no the integra LS has more torque because of a little bit bigger block. it pretty much trades high end horsepower for low end torque. the GSR on the other hand is the opposite, and faster.
