Re: hmmm, problem with FLP tranny.
I talked to a local tranny guy that does awesome work and he said he hasn't been able to keep a modified truck from breaking the tranny. He has no problems with the f-bods, but said the weight of the trucks is the problem for the 4l60e. He replaced one guys tranny 2 times b/c the clutches/bands kept breaking. On the third time the problem was he broke the input shaft off the drum. Maybe the hardened input shaft/drum and sun shell are the key. I don't know the specs of the FLP IV, but I know Speed Inc uses them in their stage 2&3's. But I know your story with them.

Re: hmmm, problem with FLP tranny.
Thanks for the link Brandon. I am checking with a friend on the price for a used 80. I have seen them cheaper but, they didn't have the extra computer.
I am going to be using the stock computer to control mine so I wouldn't need the extra computer.

PS - Just call me John if you can't remember my handle. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> Just think "Excelerating SS"

Good deal!
I'm glad Chuck is taking care of this for you. He seems like a stand up guy. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
