Default hmmmmmm?

trying to find a problem, and I think I might know what it is, just need somemore opinions..

truck idles fine( to a point)
idle is not the problem tho..
my problem is...
that when I am cruising down the road, it feels like it is down a cylinder..
has that unmistakeable flat sound at 2,000 RPMS..
almost a pop pop, but it's really muffled..
any ways.. as you give it gas the more it is apparently there..
if I have lossed any HP, it doesnt seem to be much..
but like I said it only feels bad when getting on it, or cruising, at idle you cant tell anything is wrong..
now this is what I was thinking...
I possibly have a coil pack going bad on me?????
any body else have an opinion...
anything will help..
multiple thinkers are better than one..
Thanks
Daniel

i had a piston misfiring on my old truck. had a guy plug in a scantool and he told me exactly which piston was having problems and how many times it has misfired(somewhere around 130,000 im my case). it ended being a plugged injector in my case but i could see it being a coil pack or wires, or maybe even a plug. will ls1edit read stuff like that?

I had 2 dirty injectors and had the same problem. Hooked up a tech 2 and found out which ones. GM has a TSB about it and it has the service procedures for cleaning.

Start simple ... a quality coil pack would be about 150-200 bucks. Plugs and wires would be less than 100.

my truck is doing the same thing except it pops really loud when under full throttle, inconsistantly, i would like to believe it is a fuel injector but i cant afford the tool or to have the truck scanned

Default No way!!!

There is no way that a bad coil will show up as lean.... If anything it would read rich b/c it was misfiring and not burning fuel. It sounds like you gentlemen have dirty injectors!!!
