Default holley hi ram on ls1??!!

Ok im shooting for 11s n/a on my ls1 so i have been looking for a better intake manifold. Right now my setup consists of stock aluminum ls1 shortblock tsp torquer v2 cam prc stage 1 cnc'd ls6 heads milled. 020". Tbss intake Full boltons 4.56 gears and a yank 4400 stall. Truck only has spare tire removed for weight reduction and rear bogarts for slicks. Anyway my question is now that holley has the cathedral port intakes for sale will it work good on an ls1? Their site says recomended 6.0 to 7.0+l engines and peak power is at 7k to 8k rpms.. i dont know how high i can spin my stock rotating assy but i have been to 7k rpms a few times. Would u guys think this intake will give me the power i need to reach my goal? Or is it over kill for an ls1

I think its overkill for an LS1...I have the intake. It looks awesome, and performs about the same as my stock L92 intake under boost...so take that for whats it worth. I havent tried reving it past 6500 and still have a smallish cam, however.

Not to jack the thread, but will the intake for the l92 physically bolt to a reg ls( pre 07 ) block and heads? I know guys run bbc rect port intakes on oval port heads to help in tq, curious if this would work in this respect on these?

arent the intake ports just shaped different? I think it should work if u can get it to seal on the heads
