Default Holley high rise- vs - fast composite for ls3

Hey guys I'm considering either of the intakes listed for a daily driver.
Was wondering pros and cons of each heads are ls3 on a LQ9 mild cammed with long tubes. Drivability is a big concern at lower speeds say 2k rpm range that's where I'm at cruising at interstate speeds when converter is locked.

Considering the Holley, it seems to be a better bang for buck opposed to the fast. I also was considering the mid rise Holley for ls3 heads that will be released this 1/4, but also have a deadline I plan on meeting for completion. That pushes me to current production items. A sheet metal is not cost effective or practical for build.

Truck is a Sierra crew cab lq9/ls3 hybrid, with 3200 stalled built 4l65. 411:1 gear front and rear awd. Any other options are considered but have to have 102mm t body options... Thanks!

If you don't mind the heat that the aluminum will hold, then I would run either the mid or hi rise from holley. I haven't heard bad things about the fast LS3 intakes. In fact, I have one sitting on the shelf waiting for me to rebuild my 408. I would rather run a plastic intake on a daily driver since it gets so hot where I live. Obviously there are pro's and cons to each. And you will need to do some work to make the ls3 fast intake to fit

The gap between the intake and valley on the Holley would allow plenty of air to be between it. Plus cars have had aluminum intakes for years. I don't see there being a 10-20hp loss from the slight heat.

Awesome ^^ how is drivability? Is it a total dog down low? I think with the right setup it would be just fine... And the fast intake good god 900+ for a piece of plastic.. It may be better but the cost of the Holley and it comes with rails and in a truck with zero hood clearance issues. I'm leaning towards Holley at this point more pros then cons at this moment

Well thanks guys! Cam is ordered, I did a lil chamber work on the ls3 heads and unshrouded the valves a bit and milled them .030 to bump compression a bit and I think ima get the Holley. May be having a stepped header made for it idk yet. I got a level 3 monster with a 3200 circle d I'm putting in now so. Things are moving right along I'll keep you guys posted on what it lays down.. It's awd so I'm hoping it gets close to that 500/500 mark I'm shooting for! I speced a proprietary grind just for this combo..
