Based on your test, it seems to me that the ram air mod would be a worthwhile mod.

In your test, you had higher times with the mod, but that seemed like a traction issue, meaning more torque?!?!?

That does seem true now that I think about it, although I only really spun bad on the slowest run. The first run was a pretty good run, hardly any tire spin. I had two runs in each lane, one was with the ram-air mod and one without. Taking out the bad run, here's the two good runs in the same lane.
Without ram-air & right lane:
14.761 @ 92.237 mph w/ a 2.093 60'
With ram-air & right lane:
14.908 @ 92.307 mph w/ a 2.265 60'

it does look like you gained more torque or got a worse launch...if you subtract the difference in the 60' times to the 1/4 mile with the ram air you actually end up with a 1/4 time of 14.736

Hmmm, more food for thought. My fastest speed was actually on my slowest time and my worst 60'. 14.969 w/ a 2.374 60'. If I look at it like that and take away the difference from my best 60' of 2.093 and my worst 60' of 2.374 (.281), the slowest run turns into a 14.688. Something to think about!

Interesting...maybe the ram air actually gained enough power to cause a traction problem...where the track conditions any different when u ran the ram air to when u didn't? when u ran did u do 2 runs back to back with the regular intake and then 2 runs back to back with the ram air?

Track conditions were the same, the runs were all in about 2 hours and the temp stayed at 55* the whole time. The first two runs were without the mod, then I put it on and ran two more times, about the same time between runs too. Like I said, the ECM had NO to time to adjust, I put the ram-air on in the pits and got in line to run again. May be next time, I'll put the ram-air on before I drive to the track which is about 80 miles and run it first. Then take the ram-air off and see how my times are. The last run when I spun REAL bad it did seem like I had alot more low end because it spun so bad. It almost felt like I started with my tires wet or slipped in something at the starting line, I did go around the water though and just spun the tires enough to get the crap off of them, I never sit there and smoke them.

what kind of home depot CAI are you using? Are you using the intake tubing kind w/a conical filter on the end or are you using the kind with the scoop down to the bumper added onto the factory box or a combo or what?

Pics would help too.

Thanks,
Jesse
