The ole lady and I were washing the truck up today and I thought after I sprayed the engine off I'd snap a few pics of my home brew intake setup. I used 1 90* elbow and 4" sch 10 pvc, and also 2 rubber adapters. I made the tube straight and I trimmed 4 or 5 inches off of the radiator hose on the water pump where the hose would go under the tube with minimal contact. Also while I was there, I threw in a K&N drop in.

Oh yeah...lol over on the fender wall I cut out the metal opening where the 2 small slots were and then I cut the air box opening all the way to the foam to open up the inlet of the box.

Hey Rhino is sch. 10 PVC the regular kind u find at any hardware store? I need to make one to fit a 102 mm tb, and I was thinkin of using PVC.I was also trying to figure if it would be good to put the MAF closer to the middle of the tube away from the filter element so the airflow into the MAF would be straighter.

sch 10 is sewer pvc but still available at all the hardware stores. It has a thinner wall than sch 40 which makes it more visually appealing and easier to find rubber boots to work with. I wouldn't move the MAF.

I always thought you had to watch when using PVC due to static electricity and heat absorption form the motor. Maybe I'm thinking of something else.
