Here is mine. Still need a 4" clamp but those big *** zip ties work pretty good and I got to do something with the insulation.

where is the best spot to bring air in from outside for either a DIY CAI / Ram Air ?

Ram is always better. Get it through the front grill or get it underneath the front bumper...just watch out for puddles.
