Default Homemade cold-air intake

I made this for a friend who was too cheap to buy a K&N FIPK and then I liked the way it sounded and seemed to fit so much better that I sold him MY FIPK.....at a loss of course...but this thing is MUCH quieter than the FIPK and I havent seen ANY performance loss....I have the correct K&N filter on order but the Fram on there now works great (even if it does look ghetto)...I will probably redo the heat shield at some point with black duct tape to keep with the black/white color scheme
My FIPK never seemed to fit right...the heat shield didn't sit right and the air tube to the throttle body had a bad habit of coming loose in traffic

what do you think ??
And the best part...total cost: $7.89

I believe I said it looked ghetto....my point was that for under 8 dollars I duplicated a $279 "performance" part.........and I *was* being a little sarcastic throughout the whole post...even if I didn't come across that way......

How did you get the MAF sensor to stay in place w/o bolting it to the heat shield?

it is supported from underneath with an angled bracket that is bolted to the intake plate mounts and clamped into the hose clamp that holds the MAF sensor (actually that part is probably the least ghetto of the whole setup)
