Default Hooker aero chamber????

ok after having read how horrible the flowmaster 40 series is a piece of crap i'm going to remove mine. i'm looking at the hooker aero chamber, flowtech after burner, or a magnaflow. the only thing with the magnaflow is i like deep throaty idling sound of the fm 40 series but i had a magnaflow on another truck and it didnt have much sound at idle almost couldnt tell the truck was cammed. maybe i just didnt have the right magnaflow. my current truck is a 04 xcsb 2wd with longtubes, ory,no cats. what part# of magnaflow is everybody running and whats your take on the aero chamber, and flowtech afterburner?

I dumped my super 40 after I saw a thread showing tested airflow and "flow" master was the worst. Granted Hooker's Areo chamber wasn't one tested... but I had already bought one (3" Areochamber) its in now & I like it. Its a lot quieter inside the cab... since droneMasters are notorious of well, drone...

the Areochamber isn't really deep and throaty IMO, but step on the gas and it will rumble.

I'll see if I can get a video today.

LPP long tubes, no cats, 3" back to areo chamber single out 3" dumped.

vid added

Aerochambers sound good on f-bodies and in true-dual applications. I'd imagine it sounds good on a truck too.

I have a Walker Exhaust 21470 with a turndown. It rumbles at idle and really screams at full throttle. I'd say it's a little quieter cruising than flowmasters are. Plus their like $60 shipped.

Aerochambers rock!! I've installed them on tons of cars/trucks and they're a great sounding/performing muffler. The Afterburner is a good deal louder. The Magnaflow I had was a 12198 on my truck and with turndowns just in front of the axle, it was fairly mild inside but straight up rowdy on WOT. I had the elcheapo old design OBX headers with O/R y-pipe and it was awesome sounding.
