Default hooker aerochamber 14" vs. 22"????

I'm looking at cutting the cats off my truck('02 5.3 ECSB) and sticking a 3" aero chamber in with a 3" pipe over the axle.

the 14" is $67 bucks, the 22" is $81.

is the 14" very loud in the cab? I know it's gonna have rasp without the cats, that doesn't bother me, but how about interior noise?

I have LT headers with an ory and a 3" center in and out 14" hooker arrochamber and i absolutely love it. Interior resinance is noticable not overwhellimg. Hooker mufflers are the best bang for the buck in my opinion. I'll try to get some sound clips up before too long.

shorter one will definatly be louder. but i like loud ****. i always radio on so i really dont care about the inside sound. id go with the shorter one. you prolly be alot more happier with it. "IF ITS TOO LOUD YOUR TOO OLD" LOL

i have the exact same set up. i love it, but i have a question for you. if you're in say... second gear around 3,000 rpm - 4,500 rpm do you get a kind of "bwap bwap bwap" sound? hard to explain...

I had a 22 Aero w/out cats and it was f-n loud. Had an annoying drone at cruise also.

i used to have it and i loved the sound, mine was a little too loud cause the my pipe exit was in front of the rear tire, so i imagine running it over axle and back will tone it down quite a bit...
