Default Hooking up

Was just looking thru the summit catalog and found some rims and ET Streets the rims are M/T Classic ll 16x8. Is our bolt pattern 6x5 1/2''? And tires are M/T E/T Streets 28x11.50-16LT (whats LT stand for) the suggested rim size is 8'' the O.D. is 28'' and Tread Width is 8.7'' is this enough tire to get my set up hooking up along with Caltracs and a Eaton locker?

Damn where is everybody. Anyway I measured my stock tires and got about 8'' of rubber hitting the pavement and there 29.5'' tall so I wont have but .7 more tire on the road and 1 1/2 shorter tire. I better get the bigger 28x12.50-16LT Iinstead and get the 16x10 rim. Help which one.

Your bolt pattern size is 6x5 1/2.I would stick with the 28" tires for sure. With your combination of gears and smaller tire you would be crossing the traps pretty highin the rpms with the 26"tire.

Thanks for assuring me on the bolt pattern. My thoughts exactly on the 26'' tire. How far out will a 10'' rim stick out with a 4.5 back spacing

Ok the salesmen at Summit said the 4 7/16 backspace wheels wont fit an 03 2wd Silverado is this true I dont want them sticking out at all so Ill have to use the 3 5/8 backspace. I know its not much 13/16 but Im like that. Thanks

You are going to be hard pressed finding an affordable 16x10 with 6.5-7" backspace so it will reside inside the fenders. 4.5" BS will stick way out.

I dont think you will have a hard time hooking on the 28x11.50 ET Streets on a decently prepped track. My 26x11.50 do fine on motor but just dont cut it on the gas if I spray right out of the hole. If you are talking about hooking on the street, you may want to look into a different tires such as the mt dragradials Randy suggested cause my ETs wont hook for nothing on the street plus they get eat up pretty bad from the road debris.

They suggest you use a 8'' rim with those tires will 16x8 with a 3 5/8 backspace stick out real far.
