hotchkis 2-4 guys
just orderer my hotchkis 2-4 drop set with swaybars
for a great price from TBYRNE
cant wait till it gets here so I can be "down there"
with you guys
do I need to get a coil spring compressor and if so
where do i get it at?
Looks pretty straight forward to me anything
else I should look out for.

The Hotchkis 2-4 kit is great with the front and rear anti-sway bars. When I did mine on my '99, the instructions called for you to break loose the bottom ball joint to get the front springs out. I couldn't break it free and I beat the hell of a fork trying. Go for the top one, much easier. Just make sure you put a jack underneath, then slowly let it drop once the ball joint is broken free. Also make sure you put the spring in right side up. Pneaumatics separator would be a huge help.
Your load handling capabilities are going to go south. Their springs are designed for handling only. I have roughly a 200lb toungue weight boat that would drop my truck to the point where it looked like it was almost bottomed out. You can get helper springs to maintain proper height. Just in case you didn't know.
Also, before you go banging on the ball joint, go ahead and get new ones. Just in case you mangle the dust boot. If you don't, return them.
