Re: Hotchkis springs are on!
Got my tires on today and it looks GOOD! I will get some pics tomorrow. I also measured today and my truck sits 31" all the way around from the ground to the fender lip.
Gray... I got the springs from Summit. They were the cheapest place I found reg price plus I didn't have to pay but five bucks for shipping on the leafs. I originally ordered from somewhere else and shipping was going to be $90! I had to wait cause they were on b/o from summit.
Greg... I dont think the payload went down much if any. They have a "special overload leaf" so you can still tow with them. They are actually a lot heavier leaf (4leafs)than the stock ones(3leafs). The truck dosnt seem to tuck as much as it did before but my friends say that it still does from watching. It feels like it puts you back in the seat more now though.
? for ya Greg... were your tires easy to spin when you first got them. It seems I have less traction now that I did with my other bald tires. I know that they brought my gears back down but they should not be that easy to turn over.

Re: Hotchkis springs are on!
BigKid, I've read somewhere that changing the leafs will lower the max payload and towing capacities. Does the Hotchkis do that? If so what does it change it to? On the tires, I get more comments on the tires than the wheels. the truck looks just right. Did you notice any difference in the way it accelerates? Any vibration?

Graygmc: Check Tbyrne, he should match any ones price.
BigKid: Considering the tires I had would spin like they were on grass, These tires are harder for me to spin. Dumb question back to you: Did they mount them in the right direction ?

Gray... do a search by part no. for hss-1914f and hss-2404.
Greg... Yes they are mounted in the right direction. I was actually there helping the guy out to make sure they were mounted right. I am hoping once the slick rubber wears off they will get a little stickier. If not I am going to be very dissapointed that I spent 300 bucks more on the Yokos instead of getting some more Nittos.
Oh... I will be getting some pics this afternoon so look for them a little later this evening.

The truck looks excellent! Those wheels look really good, too. BTW, I saw your rear plate w/ the diver sign. Are ya a diver? PADI Divemaster here
