Don't feel dumb bro.

I use the GTimer by Passport and even that thing is not always accurate. There are lots of variables like undulations in the road or wether or not the road stays level.

Your truck is probably well into the 14s with those mods if you can hook but don't take the #s to heart as i have been decieved by electronic meters before and then you end up disheartened when you actually make it to a track.

It is a decent tool though for tracking progress because even if it's a tad fast, it will be fast all the time so if you start going faster you know your making progress.. Or going down a hill. Hahaha

As for Speed Denisity tuning.. We're doing that on my grey truck. HPTuners offers it.

I agree with the others on the 1/4 mile times.
But use it alot on say for example 10-85 runs

I use it mostly to gauge changes
like timing and fuel to the pcm

also to get more accurate time comparisons
I have a certain straightaway I run out of everyones way
I drive for about 15 min stop at the park I tune my truck at
for aboput 5 min
then drive back to my test spot for logging the first run
go to the park and reflash
then go back for the 2nd run
and repeat repeat and repeat

I also hit it from a roll of about 10 to eliminate the traction differences
when I get more power Ill up this number
I look forward to it

might soud like a psycho but it works for me
seems to work well

Makes sense, so i'll really need a gtech to know, but if i look in the 97 mph area, and see 14.3 or so....i might be in that ballpark. thanks guys.

Exactly! except for that g-tech part
