Default how big of a block?

I want to build a 427 stroker next? I know that with a 6.0 you can safely go up to a 417, or that what i heard, i dont know a huge deal about stroker motors, just the basics. But in order to build a 427 stroker, what size block would i need? what size heads? thing like that. thanks for the help

From what Ive read, most go with and say 414 is the biggest to be used as DD. 418 is the biggest for the block.

There is a million ways to get those cubes or close to it. What is your budget? I had a 420 out of lq4 block.

well, i mean, i would like to do it right, but also the cheapest way possible. i dont want to go buy an lsx block....if i recall they are pretty pricy. but i dont want to do something that will be a cheap temporary way to get the cubes. i want it tough.

In short aluminum block for a stroker is the best. Im on my phone so search under my screename for stroker aluminum block words like that and yoou will see a few posts from me about the reasons why. Long strokes especially over4" in an iron block is a bad idea.

its going to cost you a fortune to make decent power from a 427. most who go large cubes get average or under par power for a stroker.

ppl usually spend the money on the rotating assembly and budget the rest. this leaves you budget results, then you have ppl who spend the money souly on the topend and make great numbers with smaller motors. a properly built 427 should be well into the high 500 rwhp range but most only see mid to high 400s with their 427s

Link removed check out their tech section or give them a call.

It looks like there doing 400+ ci with the ls3 blocks, but hell i dont think it matters because theyre resleeving 5.3 blocks to achieve the same displacement.
Just my 2 cents.
