grab LS3 block... LS3/L92 heads.. stroke it to 420 and forget the extra 7 cubes!!! remember Compression makes HP........ and with E85 on the block you can easily run mucho compressor motor on the street and not get killed in the pocket for Gas.. just and Idea.

I didnt read all 4 pages, but I was looking to do the same. You can go 427 with a 6.0 block. Some builders dont recommend it because the stroke pulls the piston pin below the bottom of the block, but other builders say they build them and dont have any additional issues.

don't get caught up with the numbers you can always lie if you got a 418 and say its a 427 if you want to.... show me 10 427's and I'll show you my stock bottom end LS1 that will run by 9 out of 10 of them!!
