shouldn't be that hard...i'll be doing a swap pretty soon to a stock 6.0 with arp rod bolts and a small cam(bigger than what i have now) shouldn't be any special tools other than an engine stand and an engine puller, and of course a 6.0!! i would say you could do it in 5-10hours if you had the other motor sitting ready to go in, and you know what you're doing.

Just did my first one. It took 2 of us 8 hours with a lift and engine crane. The only special tool that comes to mind is the one to release the fuel line joints at the back of the intake. We also did a converter and headers install at the same time. It was "Miller" time at the end of the day!

I also have some headers and a stall to go in at the same time. Any special instructions for the Yank3000, or is it just slide off the old slide on the new?

that yank has to engauge in 2 or 3 places so keep turning and pushing. once you goto bolt the converter to the flex placte after the engine and tranny are bolted together the converter should spin freely, if it wont spin seperate from the flex plate you didn't get it fully engauged.

prety easy swap, did it by myself with just a hoist in about 15hours.

Just to clarifing, remove old slide & spin new converter till it is seated in the three positions, then bolt motor to the tranny...then????? flex plate?????

parish8 it took you 15 hours to install a new convertor. Thats a long time I planned on putting mine in tomorrow, but if it takes 15 hours i don't think i will.
