Check out the SMC kit. It has a variety of ways to be activated. For the Whipple where low rpm boost situations at part throttle can occur I think the MAF activation would be the best route. That way it could base the amount of water or water/alky injected on the total airflow instead of rpm or just boost.

Damn when did he get that maf option ..
i just ordered an aquamist 1s kit
I let everyone know how it goes should have it in a few days
I decided to go with the Aquamist because of the higher presure pump setup

Jim - I think he just came up with that after talking with me about some situations where the MAP control might cause problems with a Whipple setup. With a centrifugal blower the MAP or MAF option should work great. His pump controller can run off any 0-5V signal so it should work great with our MAFs.

This option is cheaper than an intercooler isn't it, lot less work too. Government will probably put me on a "watch list" for buying large amounts of alky.

it should be interesting with a monster intercooler and the water injection kit
I'm going to have to get my alternator made bigger though ..
with the fans the fuel pump and the injection I'll be afriad to turn on the lights
Cooler intake charge =

Yeah, an intercooler and water/alky will be bada$$. I've been looking at the whipple setup and it really doesn't leave much room for pipe routing between the outlet and intake inlet. I think water/alky will have to do for me until whipple comes out with an intercooler.

Let us know how the aquamist kit works and I'll do the same with the SMC kit and MAF controller.

does our maf really have a 0-5volt output? i thought it was some kind of frequency thing. i like their new options.

I could have swore I saw that someplace but, I can't find it tonight. I know the computer reads the MAF in Hz but, I've also heard something about a 5volt sensor. I'm so Electronics aren't my friend. I emailed Steve at SMC again. He can find out if the MAF will work with his kit. I'll let you know what's up.

Maybe if it won't work he could come up with a frequency to voltage converter??

would water injection do any good on a NA motor ??....I see ambient temps that exceed 130 F regularly during the summer here in Death Valley

once I get the turbo setup complete the water injection will be an absolute necesity !!....even with an intercooler
