I've been thinking of trying a RPM Series muffler from Edelbrock, it looks like it would have a throaty sound.

I had dual Dynomax Super Turbos on my '99 5.3 and it sounded pretty good. No rasp at all.

 

I know Jeff (Jsmith) has dual RPM mufflers and he seems to like em.

 

Go with a Gibson muffler. I have their SuperTruck catback and its just sweet!

Remember i have no cats no CAtbacks are out. Anyone use those Hooker mufflers? the aero cambers or those Warlocks?

 

Take a vid of your truck revving or whatever, then get the footage on to your computer (my camera uses firewire)
You'll have to find somewhere on the web that will host the vid. Just type a link to the vid once you get it up.
If your camera doesn't hook up to the computer you're out of luck.

 

Check out corsas webpage to hear what their system sounds like. Maybe i can get a sound clip of my truck. Personally I think it sounds awesome. My truck sounds even better since I got AS&Ms. Its never raspy, always deep, and mellow. I have heard few trucks sound like it, sounds almost like a f body.

RED2K you have a dual exh. setup right? If so I bet you could get two mufflers from corsa and just weld em on. The quality of the corsa mufflers is beautiful, super thick clean welds, straight through design, and a interior composition supposedly designed not to resonate (which it doesnt).

I haven't heard them on a NBS Chevy, but a friend has Hooker muffs on his R/T and they sound VERY nice.

I'm going with a Spintech, if the damned thing will ever get here. Been on order for over 2 weeks. Damn Mustang shops!

 

I'm gonna try the Hooker Aerochambers on my truck sometime this summer. I love the way my Hooker catback sounds on the Z28...very deep rumble at low revs and scares people shitless when I come around WFO with it's scream up top.

 

Iv got a cat back borla on my 5.3 and its way way to quiet in my opinion. Im hoping that a set of long tubes will louden it up. In other words DONT go borla.(too expensive anyway)
