Default How to hook up elec. fans to PCM?

I really dont wanna have to use a a temp control switch for my electric fans and would like to run em off the PCM like in my F and Y bodies. Is there a diagram floating around that shows how to hook em up or anyone who knows the correct wires out of the PCM (pin #s) that I need to splice into?

I assume our trucks dont have the temp sensor in the heads like the F-bods do so I can easily get a sensor to make this work. Is this what you guys do?

I wanna know too! I saw that you can unlock this feature in the truck PCM when messing around with EDIT. I would love to wire mine up so the PCM would control them.

You will need a pig tail to start with, I have them if you need it! Just e-mail me.

After you get the pig tail you will install it into pin number 42 on the blue PCM connecetor under your hood. This wire will now send out a negative and will be used as the trigger on your relay to turn on the fans. The biggest problem will be if you dont have LS1 Edit, this will be needed to activate the fan switch.

Here are a couple of post links to help:

I have them hooked up to my PCM and it is the BEST!

Awesome!

Thx man. I have access to all kinds of molex plugs (pigtails) so if you could describe it to me I'm sure I can get something to work.

I have Edit so it should be a breeze. I have edit on all 3 of my cars so I know how the fan functions work so 1/2 the struggle is over

Sounds like you are on the way! The pig tails are the OEM wires that I pulled out of a wrecked truck. If you need them just send me a self addressed stamped envelope to the shop and I will send a couple to ya.
