Be damn sure you use that pin only as a return (ground) to enable a relay. There is NO WAY you can run the kind of current needed to spin those fans thru you PCM without letting the smoke out of the ICs inside of it. Once you let the smoke out of them it's very hard to get it back in.

Tiburon

Did you switch to the vette accories? That water looks like it's from a f body or a vette.

You mean the water hose? It has not been changed.

It's the stock water pump. I would imagine it is the same as in the ls1 eingine.

Nope...the outlet on the F-car pump faces straight out, where ours faces up. And, the pulley sits closer to the block.

I have fans but I'm not to good with electrical stuff... I bought a fan relay from breathless performance... Can someone coach me? Also for those who have a 5.7 ls1 does you valve train chatter?

Sorry to dig up an "oldie but a goodie.."

I just got the fan pigtails, and I'm a little confused. Do you need any type of VSC, or can you just run them straight off of the PCM?

What they are saying above is that you can control it by the pcm. The feature would need to be activated either by edit or a custom tune which uses edit. Blownchevy was giving you the pin number to run to the relay. It is a switched ground which means it sends a ground signal. You would need to wire your relay with power on the coil side all the time and when the ground is sent from the pcm to the relay it will complete the circuit and send the power to the fan. There are a couple ways to wire up the relay though so just look at the diagram on the side of the relay and use common sense. Any more questions, feel free to ask.

I used a relay from painless wireing... It was very easy. fans work great.
